OUR SERVICES
Eye Exams
Your eye exam will start with the latest eye health screening technology. All of our comprehensive exams include a retina scan, an OCT scan (cross section picture of the back of the eye), a no air puff pressure check, and an approximation of your prescription. We even include a scan of the cornea, a cornea thickness measurement, and a measurement of your optic nerve at no additional cost to you on an as needed basis. During our children’s exam we include an axial length measurement which is important for determining the child’s risk of becoming nearsighted.
Once your pretesting is complete you will be seen by one of our highly trained, skilled, and knowledgeable optometrists. We provide eye care for all ages, children as young as 6 month should come in for their first eye exam. Your child does not need to speak to have their eyes checked. An optometrist can use different lighting techniques to determine if your child has such things as a glasses prescription, a lazy eye, or an eye turn.
Utilizing the latest in diagnostic equipment we can detect eye diseases early such as glaucoma or macular degeneration. Routine eye exams are an important part of prevention and early detection of ocular diseases as well as systemic diseases, which in some cases can lead to blindness. There are cases where ocular diseases show signs that can only be detected by an eye doctor.
In some cases we are able to detect early signs of high blood pressure, diabetes, or even signs of an imminent stroke during an exam. This is why is it incredibly important to come in for routine exams even if you feel your vision is not changing.
We are able to direct bill most insurance companies!

Children’s Eye Exams
Did you know that learning is 80% visual? Children’s eyes can change quickly so eye exams are crucial in their development and making sure their vision is in tip top form!
Vision screenings are not the same as eye exams. Schools or pediatric offices will offer the opportunity for children to have vision screenings, these will pick up more obvious vision concerns but even highly trained screeners can miss up to one-third of children with eye or vision disorders. This is why in depth eye exams are important, optometrists will look at
Visual acuity
Lazy eye
Eye turns
3D vision
Eye tracking
Convergence
Color vision
Ocular health
We have recently added the MYAH (an axial length measurement device) to our clinic and use it for all children’s exams 5 and up.
